I have been baking my entire life but recently started branching out. It is always a given that if there is going to be a family function then I will be providing some sort of dessert to go along with it. Through the bakes I would bring to family functions, I landed my first big event…I was asked to make my cousin’s wedding cake as well as all the cake to serve the guests. I was thrilled that they would entrust me with this honor. As the day was approaching I was wondering what I had gotten myself into but everything went off without a hitch and I attended my very first wedding where I could eat the cake. From there I always wanted to up my bakes and see what else I could push myself to make.
